What equiptment do I need?
You need an internet connection and a DVD-Writer installed on your computer. The faster the internet connection the better. In general, a cable or DSL connection will be required if the time delay is to be manageable. The process of creating a DVD requires a great deal of data to be downloaded and processed. You will also need a writable DVD of a format that your drive supports. Unfortunately, not all DVD players support all DVD+Rs and DVD-Rs. We recommend you check the manual for your DVD player to determine which formats are supported. Please also check System Requirements for full details of the types of computer and hardware that are supported. |

What type of discs will work?
Both DVD+ and DVD- are supported. If you are using a re-writable disc, please ensure that this disc has not been overwritten too many times as it could be damaged. It is preferable to use DVD/R as these discs will always be new since they can only be written to once. |

What extra software do I need?
None! Simply download the correct version for your operating system. Please check the System Requirements for full details. |

What do I do?
Simply add the movies you want to burn direct-to-disc to your shopping cart and click the link(s) emailed to you after you checkout. The D2D icon for each movie will be stored on your computer until the download and burn has completed. |
If my download or burn fails, or i lose my connection, will i need to re-purchase the dvd and download everything again?
Fortunately, no. The D2D download file for each movie that you purchase will remain on your computer until the movie has successfully burned to disc. |
How long should it take to create a DVD?
Typically, the downloads necessary to create a full-length DVD will take about the same time as the movies duration. DSL speeds are highly variable but our tests show that a full length movie can take as little as 90 minutes to download over a 6 megabit DSL. The DVD creation process then generally takes about 30 minutes with a 4 x DVD/R, and as little as 8 minutes with a 16 x DVD/R. Of course relatively short movies will take even less time to download and burn to DVD. |
How much hard drive space do i need to create a dvd?
Our software utilizes approximately 15 gigabytes of free space on your hard drive during the process of creating a DVD. This is automatically freed up once the DVD is successfully created. |
How many movies can I purchase at one time?
As many as you like! You will then be able to launch the D2D download file for each movie at a time convenient to you. |
How do I burn a twin-disc movie?
Simply download the D2D download file for each disc (1 then 2) as if you were buying more than one movie. You will then be able to download and burn each disc at a time convenient to you. |
